UNAMBIGUOUSLY PERFECT NATURE PERSPECTIVE!— Finest words I could describe for our Tagaytay one-day getaway. As Marcel Proust says, “The real voyage of discovery consists not in seeking new landscapes, but in having new eyes”.
It was a sunny Sunday morning out for me and Julian. The sun is shining bright and thinking that it would really be a splendid SunDate. It took almost hundred twenty days before an outdoor plan again do come true (after our Alaminos Christmas holiday). And that was the first time for Julian to get into the place(which really makes him very excited!) and me (who’ll be returning into after several years-I guess I was just in secondary high when visited the spot). And now, revisiting. 🙂
A total adventure crop up as we started the ride—-my sorry,my search on getting there may not be enough. It was around 10:30 when we arrive at Lawton Manila-terminal. We bought spicy-flavored siopao and a liter of C2 (a locally-marketed bottled juice) in apple flavor and for Julian, also a spicy bagoong flavored-RBX for our merienda.
Unexpectedly, there’s no bus going straight to Tagaytay already so we took a van going to Dasmarinas, Cavite. We eat our merienda at the van and just plan to have a good meal at the destination. It took an hour to reach Dasma Bayan and need to ride another bus since bus going to the place is very rare (according to the people we have asked for infront of the church). Arriving at Robinsons Dasma, we then took another bus going to Tagaytay (at last!). Taking into different transpo means is kinda awful (again–my sorry for my not-so-sufficient info). 😐 haha!
The long wait is over! Finally, we have arrived safely. AMUSINGLY!
The City of Tagaytay is a component city in the province of Cavite,Philippines. It is one of the country’s most popular tourist destinations because of outstanding scenery and cooler climate provided by its high altitude. Tagaytay is relatively close to the capital city of Manila, only 55 km (34 mi) away via Aguinaldo Highway, providing an easy escape for the locals from the heat of the big city.
First Destination: People’s Park in the Sky
It was a historical urban park in which was converted from an incomplete mansion, known as Palace in the Sky built during the Marcos Era).In was the highest place of the City considering it has an elevation of 2,000 ft. above sea level.
Ecstatic! We we’re really ecstatic when we reach the peak of the park. You can see an incomplete building seems to look vintage and venerable since already built over years ago. There were so many tourists even the heat of the sun could directly strike in you. It was really an amazing place where you can just sit, relax, and feel the perspective of nature, chat, eat, and see 360 impeccable view of Tagaytay and its nearby provinces. Perfect picture of Taal Volcano is also up.
Taal volcano is the second most active volcano in the Philippines with 33 historical eruptions. All of these eruptions are concentrated on Volcano Island, an island near the middle of Taal Lake. The place was really glamorous as if you were drove into the place where there are no quandary or difficulty. How I wish I could have a rest house here in the future! And also, to make this as one of the options as wedding venue. Haha! AN INCREDIBLE SCENERY…
Shots at the top!
2nd Destination: Picnic Grove
Picnic Grove is the most visited park in the province that overlooks the Taal Volcano and Taal Lake.It was just a jeep away from People’s Park in the Sky.
Just like at the previous park, this is also a great place for family and friends. There are different activities which you can enjoy. Horsebackriding is one. There’s a butterfly garden and there are picninc huts where you can just stay, chill and feel the beat of the summer. Lastly, they have new outdoor to-do that we really have TRIED FOR THE FIRST TIME! Yeheeeey! Our zipline adventure!
This one of the best must try one should do!
Third Destination: Skyranch
Sky Ranch leisure park has become more than a day destination—but we make it just for almost three hours? 😀 Just taking shots the two-must-tries.
Must-try No.1 – Super Vikings
Vikings (from Old Norse víkingr) were Norse seafarers, speaking the Old Norse language, who from their homelands in Scandinavia raided, traded, explored, and settled in wide areas of Europe, Asia, and the North Atlantic islands, from the late 8th to the mid-11th centuries. This amazing ride gives us butterflies in our stomache!Yaaaayyy! 😀
Must-try No. 2 (Sky Eye)
The Tagaytay Eye, officially known as “Sky Eye”, is the Tallest Ferris Wheel in the country at 63 meters (207 ft) with 32 gondolas, beating the MOA Eye at 55 meters (180 ft) with 36 gondolas, and the Enchanted Kingdom’s Wheel of Fate at 130ft.
These rides are really exciting and makes everyone laugh-and-cry!
What a wonderful place one should get off!
After a long long day, finally its dinner time! 😛 We just spend our dinner in a fancy Japanese resto, Tokyo Tokyo! —Needing recharge after an exhausting but relishing day. 🙂
What a perfect one-day exhilarating getaway! One of the most memorable so far!
Thanks Julian! <3
Till very next time!
